Illegal Immigrant Accused of Murdering Maryland Mother of Five Challenging Biden’s Border Policies

An undocumented immigrant from El Salvador is accused of killing and beating up a mother of five in Maryland. The 23-year-old Victor Martinez Hernandez was caught on first-degree murder and first-degree rape charges against the 37-year-old Rachel Morin.

Following a hike on the Ma & Pa Trail in Bel Air, Maryland, on August 5, 2023, Morin was last seen. Her boyfriend told the police that she was missing when she didn't come back. The next day, the police were told that a body had been found on the road. It was later found to be Morin's. It was decided that someone killed her.

DNA proof linked Martinez-Hernandez to an attack and home invasion that happened in Los Angeles earlier that same year. He was thought to have killed someone in El Salvador, so he came to the United States illegally in February 2023.

Sheriff Jeff Gahler of Harford County said that immigration laws were to blame for the deaths of Morin and another woman in the county in the past few years. He was worried that the suspect had broken the law when he came to the U.S. after killing someone in El Salvador and then committed more crimes in the U.S.

Lawmakers from the Republican Party criticized the event and linked it to President Biden's immigration policies. Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas talked about where the killer came from and the upcoming amnesty for illegal aliens. In the same way, Republican Representative Guy Reschenthaler said that Biden's policies on the border were to blame for the sad deaths of Morin and another victim, Laken Riley.
