The Biden administration is at it again, showing us why we have to worry about American strength on the global stage. Now, they’re scurrying to evacuate our military dependents and diplomats from Iraq and other hotspots in the Middle East. This move screams weakness and, once again, broadcasts to the world that America, under current leadership, is a deer in headlights, unable to navigate the complexities of foreign policy without losing face.
And what’s the alleged rationale behind this retreat? Well, it seems like tensions are rising once more in the Middle East. Talks with Iran over its contentious nuclear program have stalled, and the International Atomic Energy Agency is mulling over slapping more sanctions on the rogue nation. But here’s the kicker: Iran’s response to sanctions in the past has been anything but military might. They bluster, they pout, and they sponsor terrorism through groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, yet have never been effective on a military scale.

The State Department’s move reeks of panic and poor strategy. The embassy in Baghdad, along with other posts in Bahrain and Kuwait, is trimming down staff. This is an overreaction, responding to threats that might not be as dire as advertised. It’s no surprise with an administration that can’t stop bowing down to globalists and appeasing bad actors on the world stage. Instead of upholding a position of strength, this looks like scurrying away with tails between legs.
While Iran continues its attempts to play the villain, the real tragedy is how our leaders are handling the situation. You would think that a country with the might and power of the United States wouldn’t flinch, but here we are, prioritizing caution over resolve. If only our so-called leaders could remember how strength, not appeasement, leads to peace.
Perhaps it’s time for Americans to demand a leadership that owns its place as the world’s superpower with pride and conviction. Until then, excuse us while we watch a worrying rerun of Washington’s weakness, wondering if they’ll ever get the script right. Or is this just more proof that competency is a foreign concept to those running the show?
