Once upon a time in Italy, a left-wing activist priest decided to stir up some trouble by erecting a blasphemous LGBT-themed Nativity scene! Can you believe it? The display at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Capocastello di Mercogliano, Italy, featured not one, but two “Mary” figures and completely omitted Joseph. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the older, meticulously painted placards of Mary and an angel were displayed alongside a more crudely painted stand-up of a second female figure. Talk about sacrilege!
Father Vitaliano Della Sala, known for his far-left agitating ways, defended the display by claiming that he wanted to show that families aren’t just the traditional ones. He blabbered on about how in their parishes, they see more and more children from different types of families, like divorced people, gay couples, single parents, and young mothers. What a load of hogwash! I mean, can you believe this guy actually cited Pope Francis as part of the inspiration for the Nativity display because of the pope’s recent efforts to soften the church’s resistance to the radical gay agenda? It’s truly outrageous!

Not surprisingly, not everyone in Italy is on board with this nonsense. Sen. Maurizio Gasparri of the Forza Italia party blasted Father Della Sala and rightly pointed out how the gay Nativity offends those who have respect and devotion for the Holy Family. Even Italy’s Pro-Life and Family organization condemned the display, calling it dangerous, shameful, and blasphemous. And they’re absolutely right!
Thankfully, there are folks taking a stand against this madness. Pro-Vita and Famiglia launched an online petition to call on the bishop of Avellino to remove Father Della Sala’s offensive display, and it has already garnered over 24,000 signatures. It’s heartwarming to see people rallying against this ridiculous display of disrespect.
But the shenanigans don’t stop there! Left-wingers in Italy are trying to erase any religious expression in the nation’s schools. Fortunately, a senator from Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy party is proposing a bill to prevent school officials from canceling Christmas plays, Easter, or other traditional celebrations of Catholic religious events in schools. It’s about time someone stood up to these intolerant left-wing agendas.
Meanwhile, here in the good ol’ USA, the number of Nativity scenes displayed at state capitols has reached a record high. Thanks to the efforts of several Christian non-profits, a shocking 43 states allowed the display of a Nativity scene this year. It’s fantastic to see so many people standing up for their faith and traditions.
In summary, this LGBT-themed Nativity scene in Italy is a slap in the face to traditional values, and it’s high time we put an end to such sacrilegious nonsense. Let’s keep fighting for what’s right and standing up for our beliefs!
