Liberals were left in stitches as Jon Stewart made a lackluster return to The Daily Show, fumbling with his punchlines like a rookie stand-up comedian. The former late-night host took a swing at former President Donald Trump over his civil fraud case, but his swings missed the mark.

Stewart claimed that even though there were no victims in Trump’s alleged overvaluation of assets for loans, it was still not a victimless crime. He went on to echo the claims of wild-eyed prosecutors, saying that Trump had inflated the value of Mar-a-Lago, suggesting it was worth hundreds of millions when they valued it at a paltry $18 million. What a joke!
But Stewart’s hypocrisy was quickly exposed when it was revealed that he sold his New York City penthouse for a whopping 829% more than its assessed value! That’s right, the same guy who was casting stones from his comedy glass house had engaged in the very behavior he was condemning. It’s like the pot calling the kettle black!
With Stewart’s condemnation of Trump’s alleged fraudulent behavior, one has to wonder if he’ll have the guts to apply the same standard to himself. Shouldn’t he retroactively nullify the sale of his penthouse and face the same charges he so eagerly wants to see brought against Trump? It’s only fair, right?
Well, well, well, how the turn tables. It’s time for Stewart to put his money where his mouth is and face the music for his own shady dealings. After all, in the words of Michael Scott, what goes around comes around.
