Kamala Harris’s silence on the violent rioting in Los Angeles is deafening—and it tells you everything you need to know about the Democrats’ true priorities. While half the nation watches as mobs set fire to vehicles, throw rocks at Border Patrol agents, and deface federal buildings, Harris is nowhere to be found. Instead, she focuses on celebrating Pride Month, tweeting empty platitudes about “courage” and “community” without once addressing the chaos tearing apart one of America’s largest cities. This is the ultimate example of liberal leadership in action: talk loudly about divisive culture wars while ignoring the destruction happening right under their noses.
The riots erupted in response to ICE immigration raids, which should never have been necessary if Democrats had enforced the law like they claimed. Instead, these left-wing activists have turned Los Angeles into a battleground, protesting law enforcement’s efforts to protect our borders and uphold American laws. And as the city burns, President Trump took decisive action—deploying the National Guard and sending in specialized Border Patrol Tactical Teams to restore order. Predictably, California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, exploded in outrage, calling the federal response “inflammatory” and insisting that more law and order will only “escalate tensions.” It’s the same tired playbook: appease the anarchists, refuse to back law enforcement, and watch America’s cities degrade into lawless zones.

The mobs carrying Mexican flags and attacking police officers are sending a clear message: the radical left wants open borders at any cost, even if it means violent anarchy and destruction of property. Meanwhile, the FBI is finally stepping up with warnings that anyone assaulting law enforcement will face jail time. About time. But it’s outrageous that such threats are even necessary. When did standing up for American law enforcement become a controversial act?
