Kanye West declared BLM "over" one day after wearing a "White Lives Matter" shirt in Paris with Candace Owens.
West and Owens shocked social media when they appeared with models wearing identical tops while sporting "White Lives Matter" shirts with the Pope's face on them.
West wrote on Instagram, "Everyone knows Black Lives Matter was a scam. "Now that it's over, you’re welcome.”
The BLM advocates radical ideas including upsetting the nuclear family and opposes law enforcement.
The group's "what we believe" page stated, "We are unapologetically Black in our positioning." "We do not need to qualify our opinion while affirming that Black Lives Matter. To love and desire freedom and justice for ourselves is a prerequisite for wanting the same for others.''
George Floyd's death in 2020 sparked riots and looting that cost an estimated $2 billion in damages, making it the most expensive insurance-related incident ever.
The company's finances are questionable. According to a story published in April by The Daily Wire, BLM used $6 million in donations to work with a Democratic law firm to purchase a 6,500 square foot property in California.
Leading member of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation Shalomyah Bowers was charged with stealing $10 million last month, according to The Daily Wire.
On several instances, like when he visited Trump wearing a "Make America Great Again" cap and tweeted, "I love the way Candace Owens thinks," West has criticized the Democratic narrative. The Democratic Party and BLM are both criticized by Owens.
According to The Daily Wire, the fashion designer questioned the legitimacy of Kwanzaa last month.
West mentioned a private school in Chatsworth in a now-deleted post, saying "They teach black kids Kwanzaa at Sierra Canyon. “What the f*** is Kwanzaa and who made that bulls*** up? Everyone lives in LA for the check anyway so no one really cares about their children being indoctrinated.”
In 1966, Maulana Karenga created Kwanzaa; in 1971, he was found guilty of assault and wrongful imprisonment. He currently serves as the department head for Africana Studies at Cal State Long Beach. The seven-day Kwanzaa celebration starts the day after Christmas. Every day, a light is lit in honor of one of the seven Swahili ideals.
