Actor Kevin Sorbo is set to share his latest children’s book at a library story hour in the Miami area this weekend. The book, titled The Bear Essentials of Fatherhood, emphasizes the importance of fathers in our culture and the significance of honoring them in the home. The children’s book tells the story of Mobi the Bear, who faces pressure from Culture the Vulture to prioritize his own desires over embracing fatherhood and family. Through this narrative, Sorbo aims to impart valuable lessons about the vital role that fathers play in the lives of children.
Sorbo views his book as a means to push back against what he perceives as an ongoing “attack on fathers and masculinity.” The book event, scheduled for May 18 at the Northeast Dade-Aventura Library Auditorium, will offer families a special sneak peek at The Bear Essentials of Fatherhood, which is officially slated for release in June. The event is open to the public, and Sorbo hopes to welcome families of all ages to partake in a time of prayer, patriotic tradition, and a reading of his latest book.
