The latest chapter in the left’s amateurish and theatrical attempt to undermine President Trump has been penned by none other than Rep. Pramila Jayapal and Harvard professor Erica Chenoweth. These two figures have taken their positions in Congress and academia to a whole new level of absurdity with their so-called “resistance” training sessions aimed at stirring up chaos. This wouldn’t be the first time they’ve tried such antics—remember the Summer of Love back in 2017? It appears they’ve signed up for a second course in street theater, armed with vague promises of “fighting for democracy.”
During a recent online training session known as a “resistance lab,” Jayapal and Chenoweth—who is introduced as the head of a fancy-sounding Nonviolent Action Lab—attempted to choreograph the latest dance of outrage against Trump. Their goal is straightforward: incite enough unrest to force the President to pack his bags. A typical leftist plot wrapped in a shiny bow of idealism, complete with friendly reminders not to be violent, except when it suits their agenda. Participants were encouraged to explore their “risk tolerance,” which sounds suspiciously close to a code phrase for asking if they’re ready to cause trouble at the drop of a hat.
What’s particularly amusing is Chenoweth’s theory that if just 3.5% of the population mobilizes for street action, the ruling class will tremble and resign. Apparently, she missed the memo on basic math. One wonders if a group of angry baristas chanting slogans really qualifies as a movement that could bring down iconic leaders. But then again, she’s at Harvard—a place where logic often takes a back seat to ideology.

The irony drips as their monumental concern for “democracy” neglects to mention that their perceived threats come from programs like USAID and the Education Department, which they argue Trump is dismantling. In reality, these so-called tools of democracy are just conduits for distributing taxpayer dollars to fuel their political engines. No more cushy jobs in government-funded education and advocacy means a serious shakeup in their cozy little world. As they claim oppression, few consider if they’re merely upset that their gravy train is slowly falling off the tracks.
Even more laughable is their targeted assault on Elon Musk, who is single-handedly trying to drag the government into the 21st century—whether it be with Tesla or DOGE. Musk’s efforts to streamline bloated bureaucratic inefficiencies have left these ivory tower leftists scrambling for relevance. Naturally, they’re going to lash out, hoping the public will rally behind their tired claims of danger to democracy while glossing over their own financial dependence on the very systems they claim to oppose.
The façade of grassroots movements led by these two might work for their local town hall meetings, but it remains a mystery why anyone else should care about their misadventures in “resistance.” With ample funding from taxpayer grants and an agenda seemingly tailored for a progressive utopia, the glaring hypocrisy is enough to make anyone chuckle. The predictable cycle of organizing, outrage, and self-styled martyrdom seems to be the only skill they possess.
In the end, the charade continues as these left-wing provocateurs plot their next move, shouting the loudest about democracy while undermining it at every turn. They might earn some clever headlines and social media clicks, but the average American can see past the drama to recognize the same old tricks, aimed mainly at getting their hands back on the levers of power, all while conveniently ignoring accountability.
