Ryan Routh, the man who tried to assassinate President Donald Trump last year, just got handed a life sentence—and frankly, that’s the bare minimum. It’s about time the justice system sent a message loud and clear: attacking our President, or any conservative leader, will not be tolerated. Remember, this happened while Trump was campaigning at a Florida golf course in 2024, right in the middle of a wild election season. If the deranged left thought violence would stop the America First movement, they just got their answer.
But let’s be honest—the fact that it ever got this far is a stain on the left-wing media and Democrat establishment. For years, liberals and globalist elites have spat venom at Trump, calling him every name in the book, fueling hatred among their base. When you constantly demonize your political opponents, some nutcase is bound to snap. Now that hate has real consequences, but don’t expect any soul-searching from CNN or MSNBC. They’ll just move on, hoping no one notices their fingerprints all over this toxic climate.

And where were the so-called “unity” Democrats when Trump’s life was threatened? Silent, as usual. Not a peep from those who preach tolerance and civility—unless, of course, the target is a conservative. If this had been a Democrat president under attack, the media would be labeling it an attack on democracy itself, demanding round-the-clock investigations and national mourning. But for Trump? Crickets. That’s the left’s double standard at work.
Too many in this country have forgotten what real leadership looks like. Trump may be loved by the working class, but he’s been treated like public enemy number one by coastal elites and their foreign pals. They’ll stop at nothing to silence his America-loving voice—even if it means looking the other way when one of their own finally tries to take deadly action.
Routh is exactly where he belongs—behind bars for the rest of his life. But don’t forget who poisoned the well in the first place. As 2028 approaches, Americans should be asking: how many more left-wing fanatics is this media machine willing to whip up before common sense finally wins? Or will they just keep stoking the flames—and hope we’re too distracted to notice?
