Brad Schimel fought hard to bring common-sense values to the court. He had support from President Trump and business leader Elon Musk, who know Wisconsin’s importance. But liberal groups poured over $40 million into the race, much of it from out-of-state billionaires like George Soros. This cash helped Crawford air endless ads painting Schimel as extreme.
Schimel warned that a liberal court would redraw election maps to hurt Republicans. He stood for fair voting laws, like requiring photo ID to stop fraud. Liberals blocked this reform, even though most Wisconsinites support it. The court’s new majority might now throw out reasonable rules that protect election integrity.
Elon Musk’s involvement became a liberal talking point, but Crawford took plenty of cash herself. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, a radical Democrat, funneled millions to her campaign. Meanwhile, the media ignored Soros’ donations and focused on Musk. This double standard let Crawford pretend she wasn’t bankrolled by coastal elites.
The race cost over $100 million, shattering records. Liberal groups exploited loopholes to dump cash into Wisconsin. This isn’t grassroots democracy—it’s big money buying influence. Schimel’s team worked tirelessly, holding rallies across the state. But they were outspent by a machine pushing a far-left agenda.
Crawford claims she’ll be “fair,” but her backers want activist judges. The court could legalize late-term abortion, strip voter ID laws, and rig districts against conservatives. This isn’t what Wisconsin needs. Families want safety, freedom, and elections they can trust.
Republicans shouldn’t give up. Schimel’s campaign showed grassroots energy still matters. Next time, conservatives must counter the left’s money machine earlier. Every seat counts in the fight to save Wisconsin from radical policies.
This election proves liberals will spend anything to control the courts. But Wisconsinites value common sense. The left’s victory came from dollars, not hearts and minds. Conservatives must keep fighting to take back the courts and protect the rule of law.
