Liberal outrage reached a fever pitch recently when National Security Adviser Michael Waltz inadvertently included Jeffrey Goldberg from The Atlantic in a private chat discussing strategies for dealing with the Houthis. For those who might not recognize the name, Goldberg is not exactly known for his friendly disposition towards Trump or his team, which adds sprinklings of irony to the whole debacle. The left was quick to brand this as a potentially grave scandal over classified information being leaked, but as with many liberal fevers, this one broke quickly.
The supposed scandal ran aground fast, thanks to CIA Director John Ratcliffe setting the record straight. His assertion that no classified intelligence had been shared in the chat quickly dispelled the myth that the conversation revealed any secret war plans. It’s almost as if the left is clutching at straws, hoping for a sensational story that simply doesn’t exist. Unless, of course, Goldberg is willing to concoct some more laughable narratives to fuel the fire. But let’s be real: his track record for honesty isn’t exactly stellar.
Waltz’s misstep is an unforced error, sure, but to think this is anywhere near a major military failure would be laughable. That mantle of shame remains firmly on President Joe Biden’s shoulders, with his chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan that turned out to be one of the most glaring and tragic missteps in recent history. Thirteen American soldiers lost their lives in that botched operation, a calamity that seems to vanish from the liberal narrative unless it comes up in forced conversation.
CNN's Scott Jennings Reminds Panel of Biden's Military Disaster That Actually Led to Fatalities https://t.co/ANqSgbaRcU

Scott Jennings from CNN reminded the network’s panelists about the actual military disaster under Biden. His attempt to push back against the smug air of superiority typical of liberal pundits was nothing short of refreshing. It’s as if he decided it was time for someone on the left to admit, in his presence, that this administration’s operational choices are deserving of scorn.
Yet, amid all this, Biden’s “successes” seem to extend to further tragedies, including the murder of aid worker Zemari Ahmadi and his family during a botched drone strike. Initially, the Biden administration insisted that no civilians were harmed in the attack, which turned out to be another one of their notorious fabrications—perhaps the most unsurprising aspect of this administration’s approach. The chaotic exit from Afghanistan not only marked the beginning of Biden’s presidency’s downfall but also served as a grim reminder of liberal incompetence on the global stage.
As the story of Waltz and Goldberg fades into the ether, it’s evident that the real scandals are still very much alive and kicking.
