In another dizzying display of liberal alarmism, the legacy media is at it again. This time, a reporter’s attempt to defame President Trump’s efforts in Washington, D.C., has backfired spectacularly. While the so-called journalists wring their hands over an alleged “takeover,” Trump has taken decisive action to restore safety and security to a city spiraling into chaos. Instead of whining, the press should be applauding a leader who isn’t afraid to do what it takes to clean up our capital.
Reports of rising crime, rampant homelessness, and drug use have plagued D.C., a far cry from the postcard image of the capital that tourists expect. Rather than clutching pearls and casting stones at a man willing to set things right, the media should take a hard look in the mirror. Why do they oppose making cities safe again? Crime isn’t just an abstract issue when you’re the one getting robbed on your way to the grocery store.
The New York Times “Chief White House Correspondent” Peter Baker is indistinguishable from a junior Democrat comms staffer — except he’s even worse at his job.
Peter was so excited to criticize President Trump that he didn’t even realize the article he shared was updated,… https://t.co/pTNAMrAciz pic.twitter.com/sCQyPZNbGc

But predictably, the usual suspects are more concerned with optics than with outcomes. Their supposed revelations about economic impacts, like a drop in restaurant reservations, are just more fake news from an institution that doesn’t seem to know right from wrong anymore. Even when their sources update the facts, they cling to their debunked narratives. It’s as if they see Trump fixing things and just can’t handle it.
It’s high time someone barged into D.C. with authority and a plan, and they can’t stand it. Their wailing about giant steps toward authoritarianism is a desperate attempt to distract from their impotence. Instead of solving America’s problems, they invent phony scandals, hoping the American people will be led like sheep by their misleading headlines.
Here’s the real question: Why does the liberal media vote for dysfunction and crime instead of peace and progress? Maybe they should try working for the people instead of against them. Or, better yet, get out of the way and let real leaders do their jobs.
