In yet another dazzling showcase of liberal media’s spin machine, the Washington Post attempts to cloud the facts about America’s fight against the deadly fentanyl epidemic. Though our great nation has seen a significant drop in illegal fentanyl coming across the border, DC’s left-leaning newsrooms just can’t handle delivering any positive news about President Trump. Instead, they stir up confusion with laughable headlines and hollow theories.
The facts are clear—our border has become more secure under President Trump’s steadfast leadership. By battling back against illegal immigration and drug smuggling head-on, Trump is achieving what his predecessors only promised: a safer America. But liberals can’t stand success when it comes from the other side of the aisle. Rather than acknowledging the obvious connection between a fortified border and reduced drug flow, they’ve opted to play the blame game and entertain baseless speculation.

According to the leftist media, mysterious forces other than border security are behind the decline in fentanyl trafficking. They suggest cartels are finding “new ways” to smuggle their poison into our communities or laughably blame internal cartel drama as a reason for this downturn. Never mind the increased security presence and tactical measures implemented at our southern border. That’s too straightforward for those stuck in a cycle of denial and anti-Trump bias.
Not only do they miss the real story, they speculate that future budget cuts might somehow reverse the tide of success. This is the liberal tactic at its finest: predict doom and gloom while dismissing progress right in front of their noses. It’s almost as if they root against America thriving under effective conservative leadership, preferring instead to perpetuate failure for political leverage.
Americans see through the charade. We know what’s working; we live it, we see it, and we feel it. Secure borders are delivering public safety. So here’s a thought for those insisting on dismantling this success, ask yourselves: are you rooting for America, or just against those who are actually getting the job done?
