In an unprecedented move, a federal judge has ordered Marco Rubio, in his role as acting archivist, to collect and hand over Signal messages from key Trump administration officials. This mandate, born of the left’s inexhaustible obsession with dismantling every brick of Trump’s legacy, has fueled yet another breathless scandal from the liberal watchdogs. But in their fervor, they’ve unwittingly face-planted right into their own trap.
This entire saga harks back to the liberal media’s hysterics over President Trump’s straightforward dealings with the threat posed by the Houthis. Now, a left-leaning group, with their allegiance to anything but common sense, is desperately trying to weaponize the Federal Records Act to attack the use of Signal, as if classified conversations among world leaders should be public show-and-tell.
These bumbling oversight peddlers have lodged a lawsuit against Trump’s officials, claiming violations left, right, and center because they might have used an app that keeps sensitive messages secure. What competent administration wouldn’t? Yet, the root of this outrage is a thinly veiled attempt to tarnish the Trump administration, driven by ideologies ensnared in hypocrisy.
And they missed their mark. Messages set to auto-delete are already long gone, heedless of the fantasy that these records can magically be recovered at whim. Ironically, in trying to stretch their reach into Trump’s private communications, they overlook that not all records are recoverable, a fact conveniently glossed over when their own interests are at risk.
Now, here sits the great rebuke: nothing legally binds Rubio to produce what might no longer exist or what the Attorney General can refuse to disclose. The oversight squad’s pompous attempt to rewrite history only proves how far they’ll go to grasp at straws. Their strategy wilted on the vine, exposed as futile and frivolous.
Isn’t it time to acknowledge that these self-appointed watchmen of accountability are not about transparency, but about tearing down those who dare disrupt their leftist utopia? When will the liberal cabal learn that while they scream scandal, Americans see through the charade? Maybe, just maybe, this latest courtroom circus will remind them that sometimes, crying wolf has its price.
