In 2024, the liberal elite in several states are once again set to shower their residents with your hard-earned tax dollars in the form of stimulus checks. These states, including New York, Maryland, New Mexico, California, Arizona, Missouri, and Colorado, are ready to dip into COVID-19 recovery funds and your pockets to hand out cash like it’s their job – oh wait, it is their job!

Let’s start with Arizona, where about 743,000 residents are in for a real treat with the Arizona Families Tax Rebate. That’s right, folks, the state is just giving away money with a maximum of $750 per household. And get this – they’re even throwing in an extra $250 per dependent under 17 and $100 per dependent over 17.
Now, let’s mosey on over to California, where they’re offering a one-time child tax credit worth up to $3,600 per qualifying child. And don’t worry, if your kid is still too young to work, you can get an extra $1,083 with the young child tax credit.
Oh, and let’s not forget about Colorado, where they are expected to return an estimated $3.28 billion to taxpayers. It’s like the state hit the jackpot and decided to share the wealth, but only if you play by their rules, of course. This money is coming in the form of TABOR refunds, and while high-earning residents are getting the short end of the stick, lower-earning recipients are practically rolling in dough.
Meanwhile, in Maryland, Gov. Wes Moore is on a mission to annihilate child poverty by offering up to $500 per child for those under 6 or with a disability. And in New Mexico, the gravy train continues with a rebate check of up to $1,000 for married couples and $500 for single filers and married couples filing separately. It’s like winning the lottery, except you have to file your taxes to cash in.
