Here we go again with the same tired playbook from the left. After another tragic shooting in Minneapolis, the screeching liberal women and their Democrat allies are demanding more gun control. They never learn that their so-called solutions don’t work.
Carl Higbie nailed it perfectly on his show this week. He’s absolutely sick of having to school these brainiac liberals over and over again. The shooter had an AR-15, a shotgun, and a pistol, so what exactly are we going to change here with more useless laws?
Higbie made the simple point that any real American understands. Spoons don’t make people fat, cars don’t drive drunk, and guns don’t kill people. These weapons don’t just get up and walk around shooting folks on their own.
The real problem is that the people making decisions refuse to admit what’s actually causing these tragedies. Instead they want to punish law-abiding gun owners who follow the rules. Minneapolis already has plenty of gun control laws, yet crime is still rife in that area.
Here’s what really shows their hypocrisy though. These same liberals didn’t say one word about banning guns after the healthcare CEO assassination or Trump’s assassination attempts. When it’s their people doing the shooting, suddenly gun control isn’t the answer anymore.
Meanwhile, President Trump just gave Washington D.C. its longest stretch without a murder in 30 years. Over 1,000 arrests and more than 100 illegal guns taken off the streets in just over a week. Carjackings are down 86 percent and robberies down 47 percent.
What’s their argument against actual results that save lives? They can’t make one because Trump’s tough-on-crime approach actually works. Two weeks ago you wouldn’t want to visit these cities at all because of the violence.
Real Americans know the answer isn’t taking guns away from good people. It’s about putting criminals behind bars and supporting our police officers. That’s how you actually protect families and communities from violence.
