What happened in Michigan should shake every American awake. A gunman fired shots at Temple Israel synagogue right after plowing a vehicle into the building. This isn’t something happening in a far-off, crumbling nation. This happened in the heartland—again. But the left keeps insisting that “everything’s fine.” News flash: it’s not.
Yet, the so-called “leaders” in charge want you to think evil like this is impossible. How many times have we heard liberal politicians claim gun laws or “expanded background checks” will keep us safe? Here we are, another day, another headline—innocent Americans attacked in their own backyard, inside a house of worship. Where’s the outrage from the usual talking heads? Their silence speaks volumes when the victims don’t fit their preferred narrative.

Meanwhile, the anti-Second Amendment crowd will waste no time blaming lawful gun owners and demanding more restrictions on people who follow the rules. It’s easier for them to attack our rights than it is to actually keep criminals off our streets. Maybe if officials weren’t so busy virtue-signaling and sending billions overseas, they’d pay attention to rising crime right here at home.
Let’s not ignore who gets targeted, either. American Jews are under increasing threat. But the left won’t admit there’s a real problem with hate crimes right here, right now. They’d rather play identity politics than do anything about it. Our places of worship aren’t safe, our streets aren’t safe, but the White House keeps pretending as long as you vote blue, nothing bad can happen to you.
This is what happens when a nation’s leaders are more concerned with their own image than defending the American people. How many law-abiding citizens have to be victimized before they put politics aside and put criminals in their crosshairs instead? If liberals spent half as much time protecting us as they do attacking our freedoms, maybe we wouldn’t be reading headlines like this. If this doesn’t get Americans to wake up, what will?
