This isn’t just poor leadership—it’s radical negligence driven by anti-American ideology and political grandstanding that puts criminals ahead of law-abiding citizens.
For years, California has flaunted its so-called sanctuary policies, refusing to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. This lawlessness has created a magnet for dangerous gang members, drug traffickers, and violent offenders. Instead of cracking down on these threats, Bass and Newsom have defended them, even as their cities erupt in chaos. Their open defiance of federal law undercuts the very safety of the communities they’re supposed to protect. When the Trump administration launched Operation Guardian Angel to remove these dangerous individuals, the sanctuary duo denounced the effort, stirring up tensions instead of calming them.
The result? Riots in the streets—looting, arson, and violent clashes with law enforcement. Rather than stepping up, Bass was MIA during last winter’s wildfires, jetting off to junkets abroad. Now, she’s loudly championing the anarchists destroying her city and threatening the peace, while dismissing the urgent federal response as political overreach. Newsom’s brazen challenges to federal authorities are not leadership; they are reckless taunts that embolden lawlessness and show contempt for the rule of law. The spectacle of protesters waving foreign flags and burning American emblems marks a city that has lost itself under the weight of misguided “compassion.”

President Trump made the right call deploying the National Guard, showing real leadership where California’s leftist rulers abdicated theirs. The federal government must continue to break through sanctuary resistance if we want law and order restored on our streets.
