Democratic Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis of California has once again revealed her lack of knowledge and understanding, this time regarding the age requirement for a presidential candidate. In a letter to California Secretary of State Shirley Weber, Kounalakis incorrectly stated that the constitution requires a presidential candidate to be 40 years old. In fact, the U.S. Constitution clearly states that the minimum age for a president is 35. Kounalakis’ error was quickly pointed out by Christopher Cadelago of Politico and shared on social media.
It comes as no surprise that Kounalakis, a typical deranged California Democrat, proudly displays her wokeness by including her preferred pronouns in her bio on social media. This has provided ample opportunity for online mockery. One user sarcastically commented that the age requirement is actually 40 in the “1619 Constitution,” a reference to The New York Times’ divisive and inaccurate “1619 Project.”

While Kounalakis’ mistake may seem silly, it is indicative of a larger issue within the anti-Trump establishment. They have repeatedly demonstrated their indifference towards and even hostility against the Constitution. When it is convenient, they use it as a prop to defend their actions, but when it becomes inconvenient, they dismiss it as outdated.
In the meantime, Democrats across the country are eagerly following the lead of the Colorado Supreme Court, which recently ordered Trump’s removal from the state’s primary ballot. However, this decision is likely to be overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. It is clear that the establishment is willing to go to great lengths to disenfranchise voters and undermine democracy.
Kounalakis’ mistake may have been a simple oversight, but it highlights a much deeper problem. Those who hold her worldview and disdain for the Constitution cannot be trusted to make decisions that uphold the rights of the American people. It is imperative that we continue to hold them accountable and defend our democracy from their tyrannical tendencies.
