In a move that has been a long time coming, freshman Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) brought forth a revised censure motion against Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) on Wednesday afternoon. The motion revolves around Schiff’s abuses stemming from his post as Chair of the House Intelligence Committee. As highlighted by Luna, Schiff launched a campaign built from baseless lies and distortions to discredit a sitting President of the United States, all at the expense of American citizens and the honor of the House of Representatives. Schiff’s privileges as Chair gave him access to sensitive information not otherwise available to his colleagues and the public, which only amplified the severity of the lies he spread against the President.
I have called up my censure motion and will be bringing the vote to hold Adam Schiff accountable to the floor tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/pL8numVYNL

This new censure motion has been revised and does not include the $16 million fine that Republicans previously believed to be unconstitutional. Unfortunately, the Democrats are fighting tooth and nail to keep Schiff from being censured. They are aware that Americans no longer trust the government, a sentiment shared widely thanks to Schiff.
Of course, Schiff was passionate in his response, with a speech that focused on the lies he believes the Republican Party has told about the 2020 Presidential election. Schiff’s passionate denial only further highlights how effective the Republicans are in their efforts to hold him accountable for his unethical behavior and lies on the House floor.
Thankfully, the censure motion vote is expected to pass later on Wednesday afternoon. Speaker McCarthy expects the motion to pass, and the Republican Party is poised to start restoring American faith in government.
