On a recent segment of the liberal echo chamber that is MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas attempted to spin some yarns about President Joe Biden’s border policies. When asked why Biden didn’t implement his supposed genius plan earlier, Mayorkas babbled about how the border was magically closed until May of last year because of a public health order. It’s like they think Americans have forgotten the chaos and crisis we’ve seen at the border under this administration.
Mayorkas conveniently forgot to mention the massive surge of illegal immigrants flooding our southern border since Biden took office. But I guess in liberal land, up is down and closed borders mean record-breaking numbers of crossings. The Secretary tried to paint a picture of a well-oiled machine, with Biden seeking funds and solutions from Congress at every turn, only to be let down by those pesky lawmakers. It’s hard to keep a straight face when the Biden administration’s incompetence and lack of border enforcement are as clear as day.

The reality is, Biden’s border policies have been a disaster from day one. Instead of taking the necessary actions to secure our border and enforce immigration laws, the administration has chosen to play politics and point fingers at everyone else. But no amount of spin from Mayorkas can change the fact that Biden’s border crisis is a self-inflicted wound caused by his own reckless policies and refusal to prioritize national security. It’s time for the Biden administration to stop the excuses and start taking real action to protect our country and uphold the rule of law. Let’s hope they can find their way out of the mess they’ve created before it’s too late.
