In the fast-paced whirlwind of the news cycle, events that once seemed outrageous can quickly fade into the background. But it’s worth revisiting the case of Robert Hur and his report on Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified information, which has proven to be a significant warning signal.
After exonerating Biden of criminal charges for his actions, Hur faced a barrage of attacks from the press and the White House back in February. Rather than acknowledging the vindication, they accused Hur of bias and improper conduct for exposing the president’s cognitive issues. Biden himself went as far as denying the allegations and even lied about the circumstances surrounding his son’s death.

It later came to light, through transcripts and Hur’s congressional testimony, that Biden had actually brought up his son’s death and had trouble recalling the year it happened. Despite this revelation, the press refused to retract their earlier criticisms and continued to deem any mention of the president’s condition as politically motivated.
Interestingly, recent developments have seen a shift in the media landscape, with many now admitting they were misled by the White House regarding Biden’s cognitive state. Even Joe Scarborough, a prominent media figure, suggested that Biden should consider dropping out of the race following a disastrous debate performance.
The hypocrisy is glaring. The media were well aware of Biden’s cognitive issues, with outlets like RedState reporting on his decline for years. Hur, a Democratic DOJ official, simply spoke the truth, yet he was viciously attacked for it by dishonest journalists who now find themselves scrambling to save face.
The truth is, the press were not deceived; they were complicit in covering up Biden’s cognitive decline. Their credibility is in tatters, and if they have any integrity left, they owe Hur a public apology for their shameful behavior.
As the dust settles, one thing is clear – the mainstream media’s bias and dishonesty have been laid bare for all to see. It’s time for them to be held accountable for their role in perpetuating a false narrative about Biden’s fitness for office.
