The news is finally out: Ryan Routh, the man found guilty of trying to assassinate President Donald Trump last September, will spend the rest of his life behind bars. Justice has been served. But conservatives across the country are still left shaking their heads, wondering—not for the first time—how our nation could come so close to losing a president, and why the media barely uttered a peep throughout the ordeal.
If a Democrat had been the target, you’d see wall-to-wall news coverage, celebrities screaming for “healing,” and leftist politicians demanding new laws to “end the hate.” But because it was Trump, the story was swept under the rug. Imagine if the roles were reversed. Left-wing activists would call it proof of a “dangerous climate.” Instead, many liberals tiptoed around the attempted murder of a sitting president, whispering excuses or just ignoring the facts.

Let’s be honest: the relentless attacks from the media, the Hollywood elites, and the so-called “resistance” never stopped at harsh words. They created an environment where a sick individual like Routh thought he had permission to act. These leftist mouthpieces cheered every effort to “Resist Trump,” then acted surprised when things got violent. The hypocrisy stinks to high heaven.
And while globalists and anti-American bureaucrats continue to undermine our democracy at every turn, conservatives are the ones constantly called “dangerous” for simply standing up for our country. Somehow, when Republicans demand law and order, we’re labeled extremists. But when the left incites chaos, everyone turns a blind eye.
Let this be a warning: no amount of media spin can hide the truth forever. The attempt on President Trump’s life was a direct result of years of reckless, unhinged rhetoric from the left. The judge made the right call, locking Routh away for life. But what about the scores of liberal talking heads whose poison paved the way? When will they be held accountable?
