Democrats are in big trouble. Their approval ratings hit a 35-year low, and Sen. Markwayne Mullin knows why. On Hannity, the Oklahoma Republican said Democrats have stopped listening to everyday Americans. Their radical policies ignore workers who just want fairness and get back to work.
Mullin’s fiery message came as the Senate considers Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” to cut waste and fraud. The bill would add work requirements for healthy Medicaid enrollees without kids. Democrats scream these changes will hurt people, but Mullin says they’re just mad their giveaway system won’t keep running.
The numbers don’t lie. There are 70 million on Medicaid – twice the 35 million below poverty line. Mullin calls this proof the program’s bloated and needs fixing. “Why reward laziness?” he asked. “Medicaid was meant for the truly needy, not endless handouts.”

Republicans approved debating the bill in a tight vote, but North Carolina’s Thom Tillis opposed it. Mullin insists reforms will save Medicaid, not destroy it. He blasted opponents for resisting even modest changes. “If they can’t fix anything, what’s their point?” he challenged.
The bill could pass Monday, but Democrats hope Medicaid cuts will hurt Republicans in 2026. Mullin isn’t worried. “Folks see through their lies,” he said. “We’re fighting for the people who actually pay taxes and deserve real help.”
His final warning to Democrats? “Be yourselves” – but Mullin says their radical selves pushed voters away. He trusts Americans will reward honest leadership, not empty promises or endless spending.
