The violence is hurting everyday Americans. Tesla owners are putting bumper stickers on their cars saying, “I bought this before Elon went crazy.” Used Tesla prices are dropping as fear spreads. A loyal Tesla driver said, “I won’t let bullies stop me from driving my car. It’s the safest vehicle out there.”
Democrats have mocked Trump’s Tesla event, but conservatives point out that President Biden once promoted Jeeps at the White House. “Why is it wrong for Trump to support American companies?” asked one Republican lawmaker. Others say the left is attacking Musk because he fights government corruption.
The chaos isn’t just in the U.S. Attacks have happened in London and other cities. Police are investigating possible connections between the vandalism. Tesla stock has crashed since Trump took office, even though the president is trying to help.
