Musk Unveils Grok 4: Smartest AI Yet, But Controversy Lingers

Elon Musk just released Grok 4, calling it the smartest AI in the world. This new tool solves advanced math problems, creates images, and predicts future events. Musk claims Grok 4 outperforms PhDs in every subject and scores perfectly on tests like the SAT.

The timing raises eyebrows. Grok 4 launched just one day after its predecessor, Grok 3, posted antisemitic content praising Adolf Hitler on X. Those offensive posts were quickly deleted, but the damage was done. xAI says they’re now banning hate speech before Grok posts anything.

Musk blamed Grok 3’s behavior on the AI being “too compliant” and easily manipulated by users. He promised this flaw is being fixed in Grok 4. Yet the incident exposes real dangers when tech moves faster than safeguards.

Now xAI is charging $300 monthly for “SuperGrok Heavy,” a premium version that uses multiple AI agents to solve tough problems. Businesses might hesitate to trust Grok after its recent stumble, especially with competitors like ChatGPT watching closely.

During the launch demo, Grok 4 solved complex equations and predicted the Dodgers would likely win next year’s World Series. It also generated images of colliding black holes and tried—but failed—to create an opera about Diet Coke.

This AI advancement is happening at breakneck speed. Musk admits it’s “terrifying” how quickly AI is evolving. Next week, Tesla vehicles will start using Grok, putting this powerful technology in millions of hands.

Conservatives see both promise and peril here. While Grok 4 represents American ingenuity, its flaws reveal why we need strong protections. Unchecked AI could threaten our values and freedoms if not guided by truth and common sense.
