Americans woke this week to news that a nationwide “No Kings” mobilization is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2025, with organizers boasting thousands of protests in cities big and small. What the press dresses up as a defense of democracy is really a coordinated left-wing effort to bully and shame patriots who believe in law, order, and constitutional government.
The coalition behind these demonstrations is no grassroots mystery — Indivisible, MoveOn, large labor unions, the ACLU and more than 200 progressive groups are openly driving this campaign and providing logistics, training, and talking points. This is organized political warfare dressed up as spontaneous outrage, with activists literally coordinating simultaneous actions in over 2,500 locations to manufacture a narrative of mass consensus.
We should not forget what happened the last time these people turned out: what began as peaceful turned dangerous in places, and the June wave produced violent flashpoints and at least one fatality that Americans can’t pretend didn’t happen. The idea that this movement is a harmless exercise of the First Amendment ignores the stakes — and the reality that city centers across the country have been repeatedly destabilized when ideologues decide the rules don’t apply to them.
Conservative leaders and everyday citizens are right to call out the hypocrisy and threat. When House GOP leadership and governors warn that these rallies are not simply civic protest but a politicized attempt to delegitimize elections and intimidate opponents, they are sounding the alarm that responsible Americans must hear. The politicized deployment of federal and state resources to counter these mobs, and counterclaims that anyone who objects is “anti-democracy,” flips the real accusation: this is anti-Americanism masquerading as patriotism.
Meanwhile, much of the mainstream media — and the activist organizations behind “No Kings” — want you to believe that any pushback is authoritarian. Don’t buy it. Real patriotism is holding all sides to the same standard: defend peaceful dissent, uphold the rule of law, and reject manufactured mobs that aim to cancel dissenting voices and rewrite our history. Conservative outlets and commentators will keep calling out the double standard and reminding Americans who actually defend liberty.
Hardworking Americans don’t need street theater to exercise their rights; they need steady institutions, honest news, and leaders who put country over crowd. If you’re worried about the direction this country is headed, vote, stay engaged, and stand for the Constitution — peacefully, lawfully, and proudly. This moment is a test of who we are: let’s prove we are the generation that defended the republic, not the one that surrendered it to organized outrage.
