Well, well, well, hold onto your hats, folks, because the good ol’ Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is stirring up quite the ruckus over at NBC News. He’s got some choice words about the hiring process of our very own Ronna McDaniel, and let’s just say NBC ain’t lookin’ too good in his book.
You see, Ronna McDaniel, the former RNC chairwoman, was all set to join the ranks at NBC as a paid contributor. But oh boy, was it a short-lived gig! She barely had time to set her coffee mug down on her new desk before NBC gave her the boot due to some serious backlash from their show hosts.
Priebus is bellowing from the hilltops that NBC really dropped the ball on this one. According to him, NBC never even bothered to bring McDaniel in to meet the employees before inking the deal. He’s wagging his finger at NBC, saying they made a colossal blunder by not ironing out all the details before hiring her.
But wait, there’s more! Former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile is scratching her head, wondering why on earth NBC brought McDaniel on board in the first place. She did toss a “good luck” McDaniel’s way, but the skepticism is oozing out of her every pore.
Now, the cherry on top of this giant NBC mess is that NBC News Chairman Cesar Conde had to send out an email to the staff, owning up to the fact that the whole hire just threw a big ol’ wrench in the company’s harmony. Ouch!
The plot thickens, my friends! McDaniel may have been shown the door, but she’s not leaving empty-handed. She’s apparently gunning for some moolah from her hefty $300,000-a-year contract for two years, since she didn’t break any terms. Word on the street is she’s been chatting it up with attorney Bryan Freedman, who has a knack for representing ousted news anchors like Megyn Kelly, Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon, and Tucker Carlson.
To add fuel to the fire, McDaniel stepped down from her RNC throne back in March and handed over the reins to Michael Whatley. And guess who else is jumping into the RNC mix? None other than former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, and she’s swinging in to replace former RNC big shot Drew McKissick. It’s a whole GOP party up in here!
So, there you have it, folks. NBC’s got some explaining to do, and the RNC is shuffling the deck. It’s a wild ride, so buckle up and grab the popcorn!
