Once again, NBC can’t help but show the world just how little it understands everyday Americans. The network is already putting its big “Today” show anchor, Savannah Guthrie, back on the schedule, all while she’s facing an unimaginable family crisis: her mother is missing. But what else would you expect from the left-wing media machine that treats its hosts more like talking heads than real people? NBC’s top priority is clearly its ratings, not the actual lives of its staff.
Let’s not forget that the so-called “news” networks like NBC prance around pretending to care about “mental health” and work-life balance. But when the spotlight dims and the cameras are off, they toss their own out to fend for themselves. One day, they’re lecturing America about family values—then they rush their co-host back to work, desperate to keep up with cable news rivals and push their globalist agenda.

Would NBC act this way if one of its pet liberal pundits needed time off? Of course not. The double standard is in plain sight. Joining the legacy media elite is only useful to the powers that be so long as you toe the line and play your part. As soon as your personal problems get in the way, you’re pressured to return, suit up, smile, and give the approved narrative. Heaven forbid someone shows true emotion or takes a real stand.
Meanwhile, everyday Americans watch this spectacle and shake their heads. No one on Main Street is asking for this ruthless drive to return anchors before they’re ready. Hardworking folks don’t like seeing big corporations hit the gas when someone’s family is in crisis. Yet the same elites lecturing patriots about compassion and empathy can’t even live it themselves.
It’s just another snapshot of how out of touch the media establishment has become. NBC will say anything to keep its empire running, but their real faces show when the chips are down. What’s more important to them—family, or their precious ratings? Maybe it’s time we stop pretending they care about anything but controlling the narrative and serving up the latest slice of woke sensationalism.
