During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on protecting LGBTQ+ Americans' civil rights, Riley Gaines, a former collegiate swimmer, passionately argued against the practice of allowing biological men to compete in women's sports. Her testimony should serve as a strong warning about how unfair this practice is.
In the NCAA Freestyle Championship, Gaines faced off against Lia Thomas, who is a transgender woman. As a male swimmer, Thomas placed 544th in the 200 freestyle. He also competed against women and finished in the top eight in various freestyle events.
According to Gaines, even though the race ended in a tie, she was still forced to give the trophy to Thomas, as the NCAA had admitted that it was for photos. She cited Title IX regulations and stated that the governing body had intentionally discriminated against female athletes.
In her testimony, Gaines talked about the experience of being in a locker room with a man who was not a female. She noted that she and her teammates did not know that this would happen. She also said that officials easily dismissed the right of female swimmers to privacy when they encountered this issue. Even though Thomas had the audacity to criticize her, she responded with a strong response.
Democrats and the left are trying to hang on to the notion that there is no such thing as a physical difference between women and men when it comes to sports, despite the fact that Kelly Robinson, the head of the Human Rights Campaign said that there is no such thing as a physical advantage that men have over women. Riley Gaines then said that Venus and Serena Williams lost to male tennis players.

The Democratic Party, which claims to be the champions of women, has actively been involved in erasing Title IX and women's sports from the public domain. It is still not clear why this group of individuals is protected at all costs. However, it is important to note that the Democrats are also the "party of science."
