Once again, the radical left’s lunacy reaches new depths as House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries threw his full weight behind Zohran Mamdani, a communist-sympathizing, socialist assemblyman with ties to Islamist extremists, for New York City mayor. This endorsement isn’t just a bad political misstep—it’s a reckless embrace of insanity that exposes how deeply the Democratic Party has fallen. Supporting a candidate who openly courts jihadist sympathizers and pushes a far-left agenda doomed to destroy America’s largest city is a clear sign that Democrats have abandoned any pretense of sensible governance.
Jeffries’ surrender to this “commie jihadist” signals the death knell for the Democrats’ hopes of reclaiming the House. Mamdani’s platform is a horrifying cocktail: massive tax hikes designed to bleed the middle class dry, defunding and gutting the police, abolishing private property rights, and even trying to block immigration enforcement agents from doing their jobs. It’s a recipe to turn New York into a socialist hellscape, driving businesses and residents alike to flee. Polls already show over a quarter of New Yorkers seriously considering leaving if Mamdani takes office. That’s an exodus in the making, one that will gut the city and rip apart the state’s economy.

Endorsing this radical is not just ignorant; it’s anti-American. Meanwhile, thousands of rabbis are warning that Mamdani’s rhetoric threatens Jewish safety nationwide. And where is the Democratic leadership stepping up to stop this madness? Aside from a few holdouts like Schumer, the party is united behind this radical train wreck. Gov. Kathy Hochul has also capitulated, backing Mamdani despite his reckless record, giving a green light to the socialist takeover of New York. The far left’s grip on the Democrats isn’t just a local problem—it’s a warning for the whole country. If Democrats are willing to back jihadist-linked socialists for key city offices, imagine what they’ll do when they control Congress and the White House.
Republicans have a clear path in New York and beyond.
