The real truth is that Democrats have been rigging elections through gerrymandering for decades. They controlled redistricting in blue states for years without any complaints. Now that Republicans are fighting back legally in Texas, suddenly Newsom cares about fair maps.
Trump is absolutely right that Republicans deserve more seats in Texas. The state has grown massively and leans conservative, but the current maps don’t reflect that reality. Texas Republicans are simply following the law and representing their voters properly.
Newsom’s threats show how scared Democrats are about losing power in 2026. They know their failed policies on crime, inflation, and the border are unpopular with real Americans. So instead of fixing their mess, they want to cheat through redistricting.
The California governor is calling for a special election in November to let voters approve his map scheme. He claims these new districts will help Democrats take back the House and end Trump’s presidency. This admission proves it’s all about raw political power, not fairness.
