The latest in the ongoing immigration drama involving Florida and California, the latter’s Governor Gavin Newsom took to Twitter on Monday in a fit of hysteria, accusing Governor Ron DeSantis of kidnapping migrants by flying them across the country. New footage released by Florida’s Division of Emergency Management has debunked these claims as the migrants signed consent forms and seemed more than happy to be on their way to the west coast.
As previously reported by RedState, the migrants crossed the border from El Paso and made their way to New Mexico where they boarded two separate flights to Sacramento. Newsom was incensed by their arrival, despite having previously praised illegal immigrants as a needed boost to the state’s economy and insisting that California is a sanctuary state.
In response to the accusations of criminal wrongdoing, the Florida DOEM released footage of what really happened. Not only were migrants seen smiling and signing legal waiver forms, they also verbally expressed their desire to head to California with help from the contractor on the scene.
.@RonDeSantis you small, pathetic man.
This isn't Martha's Vineyard.

While California’s Attorney General Rob Bonta’s office issued an investigation into DeSantis for potentially kidnapping migrants, it turns out everything was done with legal consent. Sanctuary jurisdictions can’t keep preaching open borders without actually practicing what they preach and taking care of migrants who cross the border illegally. In light of the law-abiding process in which the migrants, who had familial connections in California, were flown over by Florida authorities, it is clear that there was no wrongdoing and that Newsom’s claims were unfounded.
