Gavin “Grinch” Newsom Strikes Again: Pushes for Tougher Penalties on Tranq Dealers That’s right, folks! Governor Gavin Newsom, the D-CA tyrant, is at it again, trying to impose stricter penalties for those pesky dealers of the veterinary tranquilizer, xylazine — also known as “tranq.” This so-called “rare move” by Newsom is all part of his grand plan to tackle the opioid and overdose epidemic in California, which, according to him, is all fueled by a surge in fentanyl-related deaths.

INVASION OR LEGITIMATE DOMAIN? Newsom’s legislation tackling this flesh-eating drug is causing quite a stir, since xylazine can cause severe tissue damage, necrosis, gangrene, and even potentially fatal infections or require amputations. But you know, the real kicker here is that xylazine is NOT even an opioid, so it won’t respond to the lifesaving medicine used to reverse overdoses. What a mess!
And get this, folks. Despite the seriousness of this dangerous drug, it’s still legal! Yeah, you read that right. Legal! No wonder it’s so hard to track its presence on the streets. But fear not, Newsom’s got a solution — classify xylazine as a controlled substance, while still allowing its use in veterinarian settings. Because nothing says “problem-solving” quite like creating more regulations and red tape, am I right?
Here’s the cherry on top: preliminary data from San Francisco shows a whopping 19 accidental overdose deaths involving xylazine from January through August. And if that’s not alarming enough, fatal opioid overdoses involving xylazine have skyrocketed by 276%! You heard that correctly. From 2.99% in January 2019 to a staggering 10.9% in June 2022. That’s Newsom’s California for you, folks!
But wait, there’s more! Newsom, in all his benevolence, has also signed a bunch of drug prevention and resource bills this year, as fentanyl deaths continue to soar in California. He’s even deployed the National Guard to disrupt fentanyl trafficking in hotspot areas like San Francisco. What a hero, right?
So there you have it, another day in Newsom’s world of overregulation, virtue signaling, and heavy-handed policies. Let’s see how much of this will actually make a difference, if any. But hey, at least he’s keeping himself busy, right?
