This is a stark contrast to the numbers under President Trump, with current encounters being higher than any complete fiscal year during his administration.
Former Customs and Border Protection acting commissioner Mark Morgan criticized the Biden administration for manipulating immigration statistics. He pointed out that while last month’s numbers may be slightly lower compared to previous years, they are still at crisis levels.
