Another senseless tragedy has struck New York City, and once again, our brave police officers paid the ultimate price. Shane Devon Tamura, a 27-year-old from Las Vegas, gunned down four innocent people including a heroic NYPD officer. This monster wore body armor and carried a rifle as he terrorized hardworking Americans just trying to make a living.
The killer left behind a disturbing suicide note blaming football for giving him brain damage. He claimed he suffered from something called CTE and referenced a former NFL player who also took his own life. But millions of athletes play contact sports without becoming mass murderers. This is just another excuse from a coward who chose violence over getting help.
Where were the mental health services this troubled young man clearly needed? Liberal politicians love to throw money at every pet project except the programs that actually matter. Instead of helping people like Tamura before they snap, Democrats focus on feel-good policies that do nothing to stop real violence.
The 36-year-old police officer who died was a true American hero. He ran toward danger to protect innocent lives while this killer brought terror to our streets. Our men and women in blue deserve our respect and support, not the constant attacks they face from the radical left.
This marks the 254th mass shooting in America this year, and each one breaks our hearts. But taking guns away from law-abiding citizens will not stop criminals and madmen from finding ways to hurt people. Evil exists in this world, and good people need the tools to defend themselves.
The corporate media will spend days talking about gun control instead of the real problem. We have a mental health crisis in America that politicians refuse to address honestly. When troubled people cannot get the help they need, innocent Americans pay the price.
New York’s failed leadership has turned once-safe streets into war zones. Criminals know they can get away with almost anything in liberal cities where prosecutors go easy on violent crime. This shooting could have been prevented if our leaders actually cared about public safety.
Our prayers go out to the families of all four victims, especially our fallen police officer. These brave souls died protecting the freedoms we hold dear. It is time for real leadership that puts law-abiding Americans first and stops making excuses for violent criminals.
