Here we go again. Another Obama-appointed judge tries to weaponize the courts against a Trump administration decision, only to get slapped down by a more sensible appeals court. This time, Judge James Boasberg thought it was his job to threaten criminal contempt against officials simply doing their duty on immigration enforcement. The arrogance of these deep-state activists masquerading as impartial jurists is staggering, but thankfully, the D.C. Circuit had enough sense to toss out Boasberg’s power grab.

Boasberg’s overreach was blatant. After the Supreme Court rightfully struck down his shaky temporary restraining order, he still pressed on with contempt proceedings—pure political theater disguised as legal action. This wasn’t about justice or the rule of law; it was about bullying an administration that dared to put America’s interests first. The judge tried to micromanage foreign policy and immigration enforcement, domains clearly reserved for the executive branch. Thankfully, Trump-appointed judges on the appeals panel recognized this judicial overstep and put a stop to the nonsense.
What’s truly disturbing is how politicized our judicial system has become. Judges like Boasberg, installed under the Obama administration, are so blinded by their anti-Trump bias they lose all respect for separation of powers. They act as if they should have the final word on every policy choice, especially when it comes to protecting our borders and national security. This kind of judicial activism threatens to cripple any administration that actually cares about enforcing laws instead of pandering to globalist interests.
Meanwhile, we see DOJ filing complaints against Boasberg himself for unprofessional comments about the Trump administration. It’s a clear sign the biases run deep and blatant. When judges openly criticize the sitting president and his policies, it erodes trust in the judiciary as an independent arbiter. No wonder so many Americans feel like the deck is stacked against them and their government.
The conservative judges on the appeals court understand the danger here. Coercing the executive branch with threats of criminal contempt for carrying out lawful immigration policies invites chaos and constitutional crises. We cannot afford courts trying to run foreign policy through legal threats—that’s not just an overreach, it’s anti-American. The lesson is clear: these Obama-aligned judges must be stopped from wielding the judiciary like a political weapon. America deserves judges who respect the Constitution, not activists who place their own agendas above the law.
