Barack Obama recently criticized the Republican-led redistricting in Texas. It’s howling hypocrisy. He’s no stranger to the political game of redistricting when it suits his party’s needs. When Democrats seek to redraw maps, it’s hailed as a noble cause for fairness. But when Republicans do the same, it’s suddenly a “threat to democracy.” Unbelievable.
Obama has been no angel. Back in 2019, he supported a program called “Redistricting U” designed to push for redistricting in favor of Democrats. Isn’t that the very definition of picking and choosing? It’s clear Obama’s problem isn’t with redistricting itself. His issue arises when it threatens to shift political power away from his left-leaning allies.
Let’s talk about Texas. The state is busy drawing up a new congressional map potentially adding five GOP-leaning districts in strong Democrat areas. It’s a move any party in power would make. Yet, Democrats throw tantrums and flee like children scared of losing a game. They’ve escaped to blue states rather than facing political reality. Their actions aren’t just juvenile; they’re fleeing democracy itself.

Obama should probably shut up, before he is brought up on charges for the Russian Conspiracy he is up to his neck in…..— Douglas Spencer (@doconservative) August 6, 2025
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has threatened to expel these runaway Democrats, possibly even arrest them. He’s standing up for the legislative process that Democrats shamelessly abandoned. They dream of big wins in places like New York and California where leaders are considering aggressive gerrymandering tactics of their own. The irony is bold and clear. When the left can’t win fair, they’ll change the rules.
In a world where Democrats repeatedly contradict themselves while waving their flag of supposed moral superiority, real Americans recognize the truth. Obama’s outcry isn’t a cry for justice, it’s an excuse for impotence. As Democrats rush to protect their sinking ship with flawed strategies, America must ask: Do they value democracy, or just a monopoly on power?
