Leftist legislators in blue states are pushing for laws that would allow public universities to perform chemical abortions.
A new law went into effect in California on January 1. It requires public university systems to provide abortion services to students. Similar laws were also passed in Massachusetts and New York.

OBGYN and UC Santa Barbara Health Center staff member, Kellie DeLozier, said that providing the services was a way to show students that it's normal.
According to nurse practitioner Angie Magana, the clinic's staff members did not hesitate to prescribe the pills after participating in a workshop.
