An elected city leader applauded a brutal street attack, celebrating violence instead of promoting peace and unity. What’s more disturbing is that this reflects a broader culture among some politicians who have lost touch with the responsibility that comes with their roles.
This incident highlights the growing trend of certain political figures cheerleading chaos and conflict, rather than pursuing solutions. It’s almost as if virtue signaling has replaced actual governance. The councilwoman in question didn’t just overlook the attack; she reveled in it, declaring that the victims deserved their fate. Such gleeful endorsement of violence flies in the face of American values and underscores an alarming trend where certain leaders seem to thrive on division.
The dangerous narrative being pushed here is that violence is justified based on race. This is the weaponization of identity politics at its worst, a trend fanned by progressive agendas and consumed eagerly by liberal media. Why is it acceptable for some to cheer racial violence, while others are demonized for simply having different political views? It’s hypocrisy that stinks to high heaven, revealing a double standard that coddles criminal behavior when it fits their narrative.

Imagine if the roles were reversed—if the victims were people of color and the perpetrator was applauded by a white official. There would be outrage, endless media coverage, and demands for resignations. Instead, we see silence from those who claim to champion equality and justice. The clear message is, in their eyes, some lives are more politically advantageous than others.
As this city leader plans to continue in office rather than step down, Cincinnati faces a choice: let leaders like this continue to fuel division, or demand accountability from those meant to serve all citizens impartially. This country deserves politicians who see all Americans as equals. Does the current administration reflect this ideal, or are we being steered by leaders who have sold out common sense and unity for clicks and soundbites?
