Nina Jankowicz, the former head of the Disinformation Governance Board at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has made a desperate plea for donations to fund a lawsuit against Fox News. In a five minute video posted to her YouTube channel, “Help Nina Fight Fox,” Jankowicz claims that Fox News made over 500 “scaremongering statements” about her role, views, and personal life during her short tenure with DHS.

In late April of 2022, Jankowicz was appointed to the board but soon after in early May, she resigned. Her resignation came after it was uncovered that she had disseminated false information about the Hunter Biden laptop, the discredited Steele Dossier, and former Trump advisor Carter Page. Additionally, old speeches she had given that contained biased attacks against Republicans were uncovered during her brief time with DHS.
Since becoming a public figure, Jankowicz has attributed the characterization of her as an “unhinged, partisan, unserious, dangerous fascist” to Congressional Republicans and the right-wing media. She further asserts that she has been the recipient of hundreds of online threats that have been violent in nature.
Shortly after Jankowicz resigned, the DHS “paused” the board and officially terminated the initiative in August. According to her Gofundme page, Jankowicz believes that the board capitulated to a “GOP disinformation campaign.”
During her video, Jankowicz solicits contributions to support her lawsuit against Fox News. Despite having raised slightly over $6,500 as of Thursday night, she is seeking additional funds. She has indicated that any excess funds will be donated to charities managed by women and individuals with “intersectional identities” who are facing comparable situations.
It is clear that Nina Jankowicz is trying to use her lawsuit against Fox News as a way to gain attention and raise money for her own personal gain. It is also clear that she is trying to use this lawsuit to further her own political agenda and push her own liberal narrative. This is yet another example of the left’s attempts to silence conservative voices and demonize those who don’t agree with their radical agenda. It is shameful that Jankowicz is using this lawsuit as a way to try and get back at Fox News for simply reporting the truth about her past actions and statements. We should not be supporting her efforts in any way and should instead be focusing on holding those accountable who are truly responsible for spreading disinformation and lies.
