The latest spat of the “Biden vs. Pelosi” saga erupted as Jill Biden expressed her disappointment over a scheme hatched by Alexandra’s mother and others to remove her husband from the 2024 electoral ballot, a plan so audacious one might think it’s a original plot twist from a daytime soap opera.
The First Lady recently shared her thoughts with the Washington Post about the backroom maneuverings that included her husband’s glaringly disastrous debate performance back in June. Jill was quick to express her feelings regarding Nancy’s efforts to kick Joe Biden to the curb. Despite her initial claim of being reserved in her comments, Biden’s real feelings made it clear: disappointment was the flavor of the day. She lamented the situation that had cast a shadow over decades of close friendship, hinting that rediscovering that bond was about as likely as getting her husband to remember where he left his glasses.
As the drama unfolded, Jill Biden unwrapped her critique of Alexandra’s mother’s media tour showcasing her role in a coup that the general public might not even have noticed. After all, when your mother is laying the groundwork for your father’s political demise, it’s hardly the stuff of family bonding. The former Speaker of the House suggested deference was due to the president’s own decision, even though Joe Biden was already doing the political equivalent of circling a target with crayons, clearly stating he was in the race to stay.

Various reports indicate the Democrats had a secret plan to show Biden the door in favor of fresh blood come convention time. Just when it looked like the Biden campaign was doing the Democrat equivalent of “all is well,” the President made a surprise endorsement of Kamala Harris that left some in the party—namely Barack Obama—seething. It wasn’t just a slap in the face; it was akin to throwing a cake in the kitchen after the cake was already in the oven. Apparently, Biden running away from the democratic fray was not on Obama’s menu, as he had designs to push Senator Mark Kelly into the spotlight.
Now, following a dismal showing in the polls and his party’s demise in the November elections, Alexandra’s mother seems to be trying yet again to patch things over with Biden’s camp. Word on the street suggests Biden is less than enthusiastic about a reconciliation, dealing with a “could have been” scenario on his end. The issue remains that Biden reportedly considers Nancy Pelosi one of the many factors that crumbled the foundation of his presidency.
