In response to the increasing crime in Philadelphia, the owner of a gas station has armed guards on duty to protect his customers.
After Patel hired the services of a private company to provide security, armed agents reportedly showed up at a gas station on Broad Street in Clearfield. These men, who were wearing tactical gear, patrolled the area regularly.
According to Patel, the security measure is needed due to the increasing number of crimes, such as robberies and shootings, which are happening while the police are not responding quickly enough.

Patel said that he was forced to hire the services of a security company due to the increasing number of crimes, such as robberies and shootings, which are happening while the police are not responding quickly enough.
According to Patel, the guards are trained and equipped with the necessary equipment, such as Kevlar. He also noted that their guns are capable of firing their bullets accurately.
According to data collected by the Philadelphia Inquirer, the number of robberies and carjackings at gas stations has increased significantly over the past couple of years. Patel noted that the crime rate at his business has significantly decreased since he hired the armed guards.

Despite the mixed feelings about the security measure, some customers and residents support the idea of having armed guards at gas stations.
Some customers, however, stated that they would rather be safe than sorry if the armed guards were placed at gas stations.
According to Jack Rock, a customer, having armed guards at gas stations makes him feel safer. He said that he enjoys going to the store and getting his juice without having to worry about someone else getting in his car.
