Remembering a Hero: Trump’s Brush with Death One Year Later

One year ago, an assassin nearly took President Trump’s life at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. This cowardly attack wounded our president and killed a patriotic hero. Today, we remember that dark day and the brave Americans who stood strong.

Thomas Crooks fired eight shots at President Trump and innocent rallygoers. He hit President Trump in the ear and murdered Corey Comperatore. Secret Service snipers stopped Crooks, but not before he hurt David Dutch and James Copenhaver too.

Corey Comperatore died shielding his family from bullets. He showed us what real American courage looks like. President Trump honors Corey as a hero who gave everything for others.

The Secret Service failed badly that day. They didn’t secure the rooftop where Crooks shot from. This mistake almost cost us a great leader and hurt everyday Americans.

FBI investigations found Crooks acted alone. He wasn’t on drugs or alcohol. But the Secret Service still suspended six agents without firing anyone. That’s weak punishment for such deadly failures.

President Trump returned to Butler and said “We all took a bullet for America.” He called for patriots to vote and save our country. His survival shows God’s protection over America.

Security failures must never happen again. We need leaders who protect our president, not make excuses. America deserves safety at political events.

This attack reminds us to stand with our president against violence. Patriots must unite to defend our values and leaders. Vote to keep America strong and safe.
