In what can only be described as a textbook example of the left eating its own, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has become the target of Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s misguided attempts at humor. The so-called “Governor Hot Wheels” quip made during a Human Rights Campaign dinner is nothing more than an embarrassing effort to distract from her party’s failures and distract from the very real issues facing Americans today.
Governor Abbott didn’t take the jab lying down. When asked about the incident during an appearance on Fox News with Sean Hannity, he seized the opportunity to highlight the Democrats’ consistent pattern of divisive rhetoric. Abbott pointed out that instead of offering real solutions or a coherent vision, Democrats only seem to have a product to sell: hate. Unsurprisingly, that isn’t exactly a bestseller among the American populace.
If their mouth is open they are lying….
After Getting Called 'Governor Hot Wheels,' Abbott Had This to Say to Crockett https://t.co/aPptKUq1dI

Crockett later tried to walk back her comment by suggesting it had nothing to do with Abbott’s wheelchair. Instead, she claimed she was focusing on migrant transport issues and creating tension in Black communities. The irony here is rich; a Democrat is trying to paint herself as a champion of community health and safety while simultaneously throwing insults like confetti. When attacked for their words and actions, Democrats seem to have the same reaction as a toddler caught with their hand in the cookie jar—it’s always someone else’s fault, and suddenly their original statement was misinterpreted.
But the plot thickens. Evidence has surfaced showing that Crockett had previously liked a post calling Abbott “hot wheels” back in 2021, long before any conversations about migrant bus transfers. It appears that her attempts at a comeback are as solid as a house of cards; all it takes is a single gust of wind, or in this case, a simple check of social media history, to bring it crashing down.
Ultimately, one has to wonder if the Democrats have anything substantive left to bring to the table other than snarky remarks and distractions. Abbott’s robust response is a testament to the fact that he won’t be bullied or belittled, especially over issues that should be off-limits. The issue isn’t just about him but about a much larger narrative concerning how the left attempts to undermine any figure who doesn’t fit their agenda. If Crockett’s best shot is a low blow, maybe it’s time for the Democrats to hit the drawing board and come up with some real ideas rather than wheeling out the same tired insults.
