A sitting member of Congress just called our immigration officers terrorists. Rep. Delia Ramirez from Illinois stood up at a liberal conference and attacked ICE agents as a terrorist organization. This is the same woman who said she was Guatemalan before she was American.
Ramirez is the first Latina elected to Congress from the Midwest. She spent her first term in office attacking America and our law enforcement. She calls herself a fighter against fascism while she attacks the very people keeping our borders safe.
This is not the first time Ramirez has shown where her loyalty lies. She traveled to Mexico City and told crowds she was Guatemalan first and American second. When you take an oath to serve in Congress, you swear to defend America, not put other countries first.
Her dangerous words are putting brave men and women in harm’s way. ICE agents already face a 1000 percent increase in violent attacks against them. When a congresswoman calls them terrorists, she is painting targets on their backs and encouraging more violence.
The Department of Homeland Security fired back at Ramirez for her outrageous comments. Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin reminded everyone that these agents risk their lives enforcing laws that Congress itself passed. They deserve respect, not death threats from elected officials.
Ramirez is not alone in this disgraceful behavior. Other Squad members like Pramila Jayapal have also called ICE a terrorist organization. These radical Democrats hate America’s immigration laws and the people who enforce them.
This is what happens when we elect people who do not love America first. They use their positions to attack our institutions and divide our country. They care more about illegal immigrants than American citizens and our safety.
Americans need to wake up and see what is happening to our country. We cannot let people who hate America represent us in Congress. We must vote out these radical Democrats who attack our brave law enforcement officers and put foreign countries before America.
