In a fiery hearing, Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA) took on Douglas Parker, head of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), regarding the government’s COVID vaccine mandates. Kiley made it clear that these mandates had devastating consequences for those who chose not to get vaccinated for medical or religious reasons. He pointed out the hypocrisy of the government now denying the existence of these mandates, despite clear evidence to the contrary.
Kiley, with his knowledge of the failures of California’s agencies during the pandemic, was able to effectively challenge Parker’s claims and hold him accountable. He highlighted instances where California’s OSHA issued rules that were later reversed due to criticism. He also brought up OSHA’s emergency rule on workplace COVID-19 vaccination, which the Supreme Court ruled as exceeding the agency’s authority.
Kiley’s important role in exposing the truth about the government’s handling of COVID is commendable. He refuses to let them rewrite history and deny the harm done to businesses, workers, and individual freedoms. It is clear that the government is engaging in an Orwellian attempt to erase their mistakes and absolve themselves of responsibility.
The COVID amnesty proposed by some COVID zealots, including Dr. Leana Wen and disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, is simply a desperate attempt to cover up the damage caused by their policies. It is unacceptable for them to simply forget about the economic and social devastation they caused. We must hold them accountable and ensure that the true history of COVID is acknowledged and remembered. Rep. Kiley and Senator Rand Paul are doing exactly that, refusing to let the government get away with their revisionist tactics.
