In a recent congressional hearing, Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene spoke out against Dr. Anthony Fauci, expressing her belief that he should face legal consequences for his actions during the coronavirus pandemic. She accused Dr. Fauci of committing “crimes against humanity” and called for a criminal referral to be written against him. Additionally, she displayed a photo of beagles used in animal testing experiments, which she claimed were overseen by Dr. Fauci.
During the confrontation, Ms. Greene challenged Dr. Fauci’s credentials, stating that he does not deserve to be addressed as a doctor and that his medical license should be revoked. She firmly asserted that he should be prosecuted and imprisoned for his alleged involvement in the pandemic response.

Dr. Fauci, who played a prominent role in leading the U.S. government’s efforts to combat the pandemic, defended his actions by emphasizing his efforts to accelerate the development and distribution of life-saving vaccines. The contentious exchange led to objections from Democratic members of the committee, who called for disciplinary action against Ms. Greene. Despite the objections, the committee’s chairman decided not to reprimand her, instead directing her to acknowledge Dr. Fauci’s professional title.
