At a Wednesday hearing with Attorney General Merrick Garland, Republican Senator Charles Grassley accused the Justice Department and FBI of having over a dozen sources that provided potentially criminal information relating to Hunter Biden. Grassley then asked Garland what steps the Justice Department had taken to determine the truth and accuracy of the information provided. Garland responded by saying he had pledged not to interfere with the investigation.
The hearing also included questioning from Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz, who accused Garland and the Justice Department of bias in their review of Donald Trump over January 6 and classified documents. Cruz then asked Garland to commit to examining the “public corruption aspect” of the Hunter Biden investigation, and not simply scapegoat Hunter Biden as an individual.

Adding to the drama surrounding Hunter Biden’s legal troubles, his criminal defense lawyer, Joshua Levy, has recently left the case due to dissent and unease within the defense team. Abbe Lowell, who was hired in December to defend Hunter Biden and the Biden family from multiple congressional investigations, has reportedly been involved with hidden conflict and competitiveness within the organization with Hunter’s legal team.
The departure of Levy from Hunter Biden’s legal team is yet another example of how the Biden family is trying to avoid accountability for their actions. It is clear that the Biden family is trying to use their political power and influence to escape any consequences for their shady business dealings. It is also clear that Attorney General Merrick Garland is not going to do anything to stop them. The American people deserve better and it is time for the Justice Department to take a stand and investigate the Biden family’s shady business dealings and potential public corruption.
