In 2015, the Supreme Court ignored the will of the American people and redefined marriage with one swing of the gavel. This judicial overreach wasn’t just a slap in the face to traditional American values; it was a seismic shift in how power is wielded by an unelected elite. Justice Antonin Scalia saw through this charade. He warned us that allowing a small group of judges to override the democratic process was nothing short of demolishing the foundations of our republic.
Scalia’s dissent was prophetic. He recognized that this was about more than just marriage. It was about arrogating the right of the people to self-governance. These were unelected judges telling us that they knew better than we did. But of course, the left applauded. They didn’t mind a top-down approach, as long as it served their agenda.
Fast forward to President Trump, who saw the rotten core of this judicial activism and called it out for what it was. When a court blocked his attempts to secure the border and enforce immigration laws, it wasn’t just about law—it was pure politics. The liberal machine loved it because it thwarted an agenda they despised. Yet when Trump pushed back, defending the premise that he was elected to lead, the so-called activists screamed bloody murder.

Trump’s critics need to wake up. This isn’t just about revising tariffs or enforcing immigration law. This is a battle for the very soul of our country. Trump is fighting like hell to return power where it belongs—to the people. Justice Scalia’s voice resonates today because he understood what few had the courage to admit: That handing over power to judicial tyrants is the real threat to democracy.
Who are we kidding here? The judiciary should interpret the law, not create it. And anyone who stands in the way of a president doing the job elected to do is not a guardian of democracy—they’re a sledgehammer to its very core. Is liberating ourselves from unelected elites truly that radical? Maybe it’s time we asked ourselves what kind of country we want to leave to our children: One where judges dictate our fate or where the people hold the reins?
